The 18th Annual LONE STAR Lineman's Rodeo will be held in Lubbock, Texas on Saturday, July 19th, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Last year's Rodeo hosted 17 teams and 23 apprentices. The Vendors Expo and Reception will begin at 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2008 at the host hotel. The Awards Banquet will be after the rodeo on Saturday, beginning at 5:00 with a reception followed by a buffet dinner. Plans for the 2nd Annual Vendor Golf Tournament are being completed and more information will be available in the near future.
Location: The Rodeo will be held at Southwestern Public Service's Indiana Substation at the corner of Indiana Street and the Clovis Highway.
Headquarters Hotel and Reservations: The headquarter hotel will be the Holiday Inn Civic Center located at 801 Avenue Q. Please submit your hotel requests to Brad Baldridge at (806) 765-2880, or email your request to brad.baldridge@xcelenergy.com. The hotel will not take reservations direct. Please contact him for your reservations.
Vendors Expo: The booths will be set up in the hotel banquet room again this year. This will allow the vendors to have more room for their displays. You will have time to set up your booth on Friday beginning at 2:00 p.m. You should plan to be open for traffic by 4:00 p.m. and run until 7:00 p.m. Friday evening. We had over 25 Vendors booths setup in last year's Expo. The hospitality room will open at 5:00 p.m. and will be set up in the banquet room along with the booths. We will have finger foods beginning at this time. For the last seventeen years, vendors have sponsored the hospitality room and reception for the rodeo. If you wish to participate in this sponsorship of the hospitality time and reception, please mail your business card and donations to Dwayne Marchbanks. To give us enough time to prepare the advertisement of your company on our vendor board, which will be on display during the rodeo, please return the form found under the Vendor Info link by June 30. 2008. The cost for each booth will be $250.00.

Reception and Awards Dinner: The Saturday night reception will begin at 6:00 p.m. followed by a buffet dinner with serving to begin at 7:00 p.m. The Awards presentation will begin at 8:00 p.m. followed by a Casino Night from 8:30 p.m. until midnight.
