Vendor Information
The 20th LONE STAR "Lineman's Rodeo" will be held for the second time in Amarillo, Texas on Saturday, July 23, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. 2011 Rodeo hosted 13 teams and 43 apprentices. The Vendors' Expo will begin at 3:00 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2011 at the host hotel. Also, plans for the 4th Vendor Golf Tournament are being made at this time.
Location: The Rodeo will be located at our Amarillo Technical Center (ATC) at 7801 I-40 East beginning with the apprentice test at 7:00 a.m. followed by the opening ceremonies at 8:00 a.m.
Host Hotel: The host hotel will be the Ambassador Hotel located at 3100 I-40 West. The hotel will be handling all reservations, so please make sure to call, (800) 817-0521 or (806) 358-6161, and reserve your room requesting the Lone Star Lineman's Rodeo rate.
Vendors' Expo: The booths will be set up in the hotel banquet room again this year. You will have time to set up your booth on Friday beginning at 2:00 p.m. You should plan to be open for traffic by 3:00 p.m. and run until 6:00 p.m. Friday evening. We had 28 Vendors' booths set up at our last Expo. The Tailgate Party will open at 5:00 p.m. If you wish to participate in this sponsorship of the rodeo and the additional events, please mail your business card and donations to Jim Fuller. To give us enough time to prepare the advertisement of your company on our vendor board, which will be on display during the rodeo, please return the registration form by June 30, 2011. The cost for each booth will be $250.00 this year.
All checks should be made payable to: SPS Lone Star Lineman's Rodeo.
Reception: The Saturday night reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. with beverages and buffet followed by Casino Night from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.
